Applications being accepted for CMSD School Board

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Mayor Frank Jackson announced today that applications will be accepted now until March 1, for one vacancy on the Cleveland Municipal School District Board of Education.

The vacancy, created by the resignation of Iris M. Rodriguez, is for an unexpired term ending until June 30, 2015.

The vacancy can be filled by anyone who lives in the Cleveland Municipal School District including the areas of the School District outside of the City of Cleveland. Those areas include Bratenahl, Linndale, Newburgh Heights and portions of Brook Park and Garfield Heights.

To obtain an application please go to http://www.city.cleveland.oh.us or visit www.cmsdnet.net.

Applications can also be found at branches of the Cleveland Public Library and City of Cleveland Recreation Centers. Contact Monyka Price, Chief of Education, at 216-420-8087 for more information.

Interested parties can mail their applications to the Nominating Panel at 601 Lakeside Avenue, Room 227, Cleveland, Ohio 44114, attention Monyka Price; or, drop off applications at City Hall, Room 227. Applications must be turned in or post marked by close of business Friday, March 1, 2013.
