TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Toledo police confirm a car crashed into a pole in central Toledo early Tuesday during a pursuit.

It happened on Oakwood in between the intersections of Smead and Clinton. Those roads are currently closed while the crash is cleaned up. Toledo Edison is on scene to fix power lines and expects to be there until noon.

According to officers, the driver jumped railroad tracks during a pursuit, lost control and crashed into a pole. The driver then fled the scene on foot but was apprehended.

That driver is now being treated at a local hospital for what appeared to be minor injuries.
