Police arrest man wanted on a murder warrant.
On Wednesday the Barberton Police Department along with the SWAT Team and Summit County Sheriff's Office arrested John D. Yanik, 52, of 1800 W. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd.
Yanik was wanted on a warrant for murder in the death of John P. Smith, 36, of Akron.
This investigation is ongoing by the Barberton Police Department and Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification.
Police are not releasing any further details at this time.
