The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information which would lead to the capture of fugitive Charles Farris III.
Farris is wanted by the U.S. Marshals, the Lorain County Sheriff's Office, the Elyria Police Department and the Ohio Adult Parole Authority for charges including robbery, failing to register as a sex offender, and violating his parole.
The robbery charges stem from an incident where Farris allegedly robbed the Speedway on Lorain Road in Elyria at approx. 3 a.m. on November 10 last year. A store clerk was outside waiting for a newspaper delivery driver when Farris pushed the clerk toward the front door and told him to get inside, saying he had a gun. Once inside the station, he ordered another clerk standing behind the bullet resistant glass by the cash registers to hand over money. The clerk gave him $374, and he left on foot.
Farris is a 48-year-old black man standing approximately 5'08" and weighing 190 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Farris is believed to be hiding somewhere on the west side of Cleveland. He also has a previous address near the 30 block of High St. in Elyria.
If you have any information in reference to Charles Farris III, please contact the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force at 1-866-4WANTED or Text keyword WANTED and tip to 847411 (tip411) Tipsters can remain anonymous and reward money is available.
