The BracketBusters pairings were announced Monday night, as Akron, Cleveland State and Kent State find out their opponents in the final year of the games.
Akron will host North Dakota State on Friday, February 22 at 7 P.M. The Zips (17-4, 8-0 MAC), owners of the nation's longest winning streak, will face off against the Bison (18-5, 9-2 Summit) for the first time ever.
Akron head coach Keith Dambrot lobbied to change the game to a road game in hopes of raising the Zips chances of getting an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament if they don't win the MAC's automatic bid.
Cleveland State will face Western Illinois, also of the Summit League. The Leathernecks, which will host the Vikings on Saturday, February 23, are tied with North Dakota State and South Dakota atop the Summit League.
Kent State hit the road to take on Loyola-Chicago. The Ramblers are only 3-6 in the Horizon League this year.
