
Columbus (WOIO) - Urban Meyer landed one of the top recruiting classes in the nation on Wednesday by keeping top local talent, including Glenville LB Christopher Worley, in-state, while also hitting the South hard.
Meyer landed five-star safety Vonn Bell from Rossville, Ga., the nation's third-ranked safety and the 29th overall recruit according to 247Sports.com. He was considering offers from Tennessee, Alabama, Arkansas and Auburn but chose to head to Columbus.
The Buckeyes also signed Plano, Tx. linebacker Mike Mitchell.
Ohio State is coming off a 12-0 season in Meyer's first season.
