AVON LAKE, OH (WOIO) -

Metro Life Flight made a special landing Wednesday for a special little boy on the road to recovery.

"Just for me! It's outstanding. I don't know what to say, "explains Noah Venesile with a big smile on his face.  The Avon Lake 3rd grader and his mother are saying thank you to emergency crews who helped save his life.

Members of the Avon Lake Fire Department and Metro Life-Flight were all part of the emotional reunion. "Thank you to them for praying, and just thank you so much," says 9-year old Venesile.

Noah's mother was brought to tears. "These are incredible people and I really believe that he wouldn't have made as quick of a recovery as he has if it hadn't been for their response and wonderful care," says Amy Venesile.

It was just three months ago that Noah was struck by a car when he chased a ball into the street. He suffered traumatic brain injury and spent 2-months recovering at Metro-Health.

Gary Madej responded to the call. "He's a tough kid and strong. I think he's going to do great," says Madej.

Now this little boy who's touched so many lives is thankful to be alive. " feel pretty good."

Noah went back to school two weeks ago. His mother says she's not sure how long he'll have to undergo rehabilitation. They are just taking it one day at a time.
