On February 7th, the Cleveland Animal Protective League will turn 100 years old.  The organization is looking back on each and every happy ending that has been created since 1913 for animals adopted from the Cleveland APL and their loving families.

To celebrate 100 years of match-making and to continue our tradition of creating "happily ever afters" for pets and their people, the APL is reducing adoption fees.

Beginning on Thursday, February 7, 2013, and going through Sunday, February 10, 2013, all adult cats (5 months and over) will be available for adoption for only $19.13 and all adult dogs (5 months and over) will be available for only $50.  (Regular adoption fees are $45 for cats and $95 for dogs.)

If you take in four or more cans of puppy or kitten food you'll receive $20 off the adoption fee of a puppy or kitten.

"Just because we're 100 years old, doesn't mean there's time for us to slow down," says Sharon Harvey CEO of the Cleveland APL. "There's lots of work still to be done and lots of animals who need us-and you!  If we work together, we know we can find a home for every animal that needs one.  So please help us meet our goal of emptying our cages of every adoptable animal by the end of the day on Sunday. Truly, that's the BEST birthday present you could give us … and them."

All dogs and cats are spayed or neutered, tested for heartworm or FeLV/FIV, have received age-appropriate vaccinations and treatment of worms and fleas, and come with helpful species-specific animal care information, a free initial veterinary exam, and a collar with a personalized, engraved ID tag.

Drag Queen Bingo to benefit APL will be held tonight from 9p.m. to midnight at the Twist Social Club located at 11633 Clifton Blvd in Cleveland.

All adoptable animals can be seen at www.ClevelandAPL.org

Call (216) 771-4616, ext. 0 if you have any questions about any of the animals or about adoptions.
