Shooter sentenced for killing teen

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Today convicted murderer, Ramon Torres,23, was in court to receive his sentence in the shooting death of 16-year-old Jaquan Sims.

Judge Daniel Gaul sentenced Torres to 24 years to life in prison. 

Jaquan Sims was shot in the head while looking through the peep-hole of his family's front door as bullets flew during a fight right outside of his family's home.

Torres and Pierre Chatmon, 23, were among a group of males who were involved in the confrontation near West 95th Street and Denison Avenue in September of 2011.

Both men will be serving up to life in prison.
