Man shot multiple times, later dies at the hospital

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Cleveland Police are investigating an overnight homicide that happened on Princeton Saturday night.

EMS called police to the 11900 block of Princeton just before 10 p.m. after they located a male who had been shot multiple times in the torso.

The victim, later identified as 41-year-old Richard McCoy, was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center where he later died.

McCoy's mother told police she found him lying in the driveway.  She asked him where he had been shot, but he didn't say.

The Cleveland Division of Police is asking that anyone with information in connection with this incident to contact the Homicide Unit at 216-623-5464. Anonymous information can be given to Crime Stoppers by calling 216-252-7463 or Text messaging to Text TIP657 plus your message to Crimes (274637).
