PORTAGE COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -

A Cleveland couple arrested in a string of Portage County burglaries.

On February 5, detectives from the Portage County Sheriff's Office responded to the report of two daytime burglaries that happened in the 5000 block of Winchell Road in Mantua Township.

During the course of the investigation, officers learned of a suspicious vehicle and two people  seen in the area. The possible suspect information was passed along to the Road Patrol.

On February 7, a deputy noticed a vehicle matching the description in the 4900 of Winchell Road. A traffic stop was conducted, and Angie Wyatt and Brian Cieszykowski were interviewed.

Wyatt was found to have an outstanding arrest warrant through Geauga County for a Probation Violation. She was taken into custody at that time. Cieszykowski was released.

It was later learned that another burglary had occurred in the area of the traffic stop. As the investigation continued, information was found to show that both Wyatt and Cieszykowski were involved in all three burglaries.

An arrest warrant was obtained for Cieszykowski. Detectives were able to locate Cieszykowski at his mother's home in Troy Township in Geauga County. Cieszykowski resisted arrest, resulting in injuries to both detectives. Cieszykowski was taken into custody and transported to the Portage Jail without further incident.

One of the detectives was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Wyatt has currently been charged with one count of complicity to burglary. Cieszykowski has been charged with one count of burglary.

The investigation will be presented to the Portage County Grand Jury for possible additional charges.

Cieszykowski will be charged in Geauga County for the resisting arrest and assault on a police officer.
