OAKLEY, OH (FOX19) -

A local paper company caught fire early Tuesday morning.

The fire broke out around 4 a.m. at the Rock-Tenn Company on Madison Road in Oakley.

The flames were initially reported as a working fire in the ventilation system but spread into the roof decking.

A second alarm was requested and crews were able to extinguish the flames in about an hour.

Damage to the building is estimated at $10,000.

The cause of the fire was determined to be debris in the vents above the roller drying system.
