Ohio State has placed an eight-foot bronze statue of legendary head football coach Woody Hayes outside the school's football facility, a building already name for him, the Woody Hayes Athletic Center.
The statue of Hayes, who coached the Buckeyes from 1951 to 1978, was built in part of a week long celebration to commemorate the 100th anniversary of his birth.
Hayes won five national championships while at Ohio State and went 205–61–10 in 28 seasons at the helm of the Buckeyes.
