CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

180 days in jail for a Euclid teen who brandished a gun on two separate occasions threatening people.  The assaults occurred 20 days apart late last year.

18-year-old Dontez Derricott's got a lot of life to live, but before that happens he's got to pay the price for violently intruding into other people's lives. Like Jacob Gasiewski - who Derricott pulled a gun on and punched.

"I would like to see that you guys see I was in fear of my life," Gasiewski said in court on Thursday.

Or Quin Taylor's life, who's mother witnessed Derricott's threats outside of her home.

"There was two weapons that I seen brandishing it from the car you know, squeezin' it," said victim's mother Dawn Hairston.

"You are 18-years-old. You are screwing up your life, " Judge Deborah Labarron told Derricott.

Judge Labarron didn't buy Derricott's attempt to minimize his role in the attacks or his attorney's claim that jail was inappropriate because of his anger issues and need for medication.

"They don't need to be afraid to drive down the street or walk outside their homes to be confronted by a person like you," Judge Labarron said.

Derricott was also ordered to have no contact with his victims.
