It was a hectic Valentine's morning at Lockkeepers in Independence as the staff spent the morning preparing the lobster ravioli and the soups and sauces that make this one of the premier fine dining restaurants in the area.  Organization is the key to making this an extra special Valentine's experience.

"We're expert at it, we look forward to it, it's an exciting night for us. Romance is in the air, and we'll have some 100 couples coming in and we're excited to show them a great time," said Lockkeepers General Manager Brian Woehrman.

Along with Mother's Day and New Year's Eve, Valentine's Day is one of the biggest nights of the year.  The phone was ringing off the hook as some looked for last-minute reservations.  Good luck, Lockkeepers has some non prime time reservations left, but they are pretty much booked through the weekend.

And it will be an extra special night for some, Woehrman says, on a typical Valentine's evening there will be three to four marriage proposals.  "Inside Lockkeepers, Cupid's arrow seems to fly straight and true, we have pretty much 100% success rate, nobody's been turned down yet," he said.
