Miami Heat coach Eric Spoelstra announced Friday that Chris Bosh would start for the East in the All Star Game in place of injured starting point guard Rajon Rondo. Spoelstra, serving as the coach of the East squad, will move LeBron James to point guard and start Bosh at forward. Kyrie Irving will remain on the bench.
When Rondo went down for the year with a knee injury many felt that Irving would be the natural replacement for him, but Spoelstra instead decided to reward his own player, Bosh, with the start.
The All Star game is Sunday in Houston, TX.
