ALLIANCE, OH (WOIO) -

On Friday, Alliance Police Special Investigations Unit and Criminal Investigations Unit executed a search warrant at 626 Hartshorn Street, apt B.

The search warrant was the result of a 30 day investigation into illegal drug sales taking place at the residence, which is student housing, on campus of the University of Mount Union. During the investigation, officers had been able to make numerous purchases of marijuana from one of the residents.

The search warrant was served without incident, and the subject, identified as Alexander Woodard, 20 was taken into custody. The search produced marijuana, scales, records of sales and money owed, and cash that is believed to be proceeds from the sales of marijuana.

Also found were pills that were determined to be Adderall, a schedule 2 narcotic that the subject did not have a prescription for.

Police say Woodard cooperated with police and admitted that he has been selling marijuana from the residence.

Woodard was charged with one count of trafficking in marijuana. The trafficking charge was elevated to a felony of the fourth degree as the drug sales were taking place on the property of the University. Woodard was also charged with aggravated possession of drugs, a 5th degree felony for possessing the mentioned Adderall. He was also charged with a misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Woodard is scheduled to be arraigned in Alliance Municipal Court on Wednesday February 20th at 1:00 p.m.
