
Akron getting votes in AP Poll while OSU loses themHaving a 17-game winning streak, the longest in the nation, will get you some national attention.
The Akron Zips are getting the attention of voters in the Top 25 polls, as they received 16 voting points to rank them at 32nd in the country in the AP. In the USA Today Coaches Poll, the Zips are ranked 27th.
The Zips (21-4, 12-0) return to action in the BracketBusters game on Friday when they host North Dakota State.
The Ohio State Buckeyes (18-7, 8-5) fell in both polls to 18th after Sunday's 71-49 blowout loss to Wisconsin.
They hit the hardwood on Wednesday night against Minnesota in Columbus.
Indiana remained number one in both polls for the third straight week.
