TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A Toledo mother accused of killing her infant appeared in court Tuesday morning.

Amanda Bacon, 25, is now being charged with aggravated murder.

Prosecutors say she threw her 6-month-old son, Avery, in a raging outburst back in December at an apartment complex on Alexis Road. Bacon and another man brought the baby to an emergency room. Police say the staff recognized severe head injuries and called them. The baby died a few days later.

Bacon is being held on a $1 million bond. Her next hearing is March 26.
