(RNN) – The White House released Vice President Joe Biden's new official portrait on Monday.
Taken by the VP's photographer David Lienemann, Biden stood smiling with his arms crossed. The American and Vice President flags were the back.
First Lady Michelle Obama also showed off a new look in her new official White House portrait that was unveiled last week.
Her bangs were the most obvious change in the portrait, which she describes in an interview with Rachel Ray as her "midlife crisis."
Taken on Feb. 12, 2013, Mrs. Obama showed more of a conservative look. According to Today News, she wore a black Reed Krakoff dress with sleeves to the elbow and a strand of pearls. In her 2009 official portrait she wore a black-sleeveless dress by Michael Kors.
President Obama also had a noticeably different official portrait that was unveiled in January. In his previous portrait, the Commander and Chief wore a serious expression. In the new portrait, he sported more gray hair and a huge smile.
