Rumored threat prompts police presence at Avon High School

Avon High School is open amid a rumored threat.

School officials say that throughout Wednesday evening, students were in conversation on social media regarding a rumored threat about the safety of the school.

The threat was not substantiated.

To calm any insecurity, police will be at Avon High School all day Thursday.
