(Toledo News Now) -

A man accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of items in multiple northwest Ohio counties was set to be arraigned Thursday morning.

Walter Polus' arraignment was rescheduled for next week because he does not have a lawyer yet.

In the meantime, Polus is being held in the Lucas County Jail on a $40,000 bond.

Police say Polus was behind a series of break-ins in Lucas, Wood and Ottawa counties earlier this month. Officers recovered thousands of dollars in stolen property, including electronics, power tools, purses and wallets, which can easily be sold online.

Polus was caught on surveillance cameras and after police posted photos on Facebook, someone who had bought an item from him on Craigslist tipped off police.
