Nothing suspicious found at Mentor middle school

Posted: Updated:
MENTOR, OH (WOIO) -

Ridge Middle School in Mentor was evacuated around 11:15 a.m. Thursday due to a bomb threat.

Mentor Police say a student found a note in one of the boy's bathrooms indicating a bomb would go off at that school.

Children were moved to Brentmoore Elementary while police and administrators sweep the building. An explosives detection K9 from the Geauga County Sheriff's Department responded and also went through the building.

Nothing suspicious was found, and students were returned to the school at 1:15pm.

This is the second bomb threat this week.

A police investigation into the matter is continuing.
