LAKE COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -

DEA Agents and the Lake County Narcotics Agency arrested Jeff Norwood of Mentor and Jacob France of Van Nuys, California Thursday.

Both men were charged with conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

The indictments were a result of an investigation by both the DEA and LCNA into cocaine trafficking throughout Northeastern Ohio.

Investigators claim that Jeff Norwood received multiple shipments of large quantities of cocaine from his supplier, Jacob France.

France shipped the cocaine from California and Norwood supplied it to his Ohio customers, primarily in Lake County.

On Sept. 27, 2012, agents executed a federal search warrant at Norwood's residence.

Investigators located and seized a large sum of cash, weapons, and a vehicle.

If convicted, the defendants face up to 40 years in federal prison and a maximum fine of up to five million dollars.
