COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

A University of South Carolina student charged with drunk driving and killing a Midlands pastor plead guilty to the DUI charge last week.

Mary Reames, 22, was sentenced to 15 years in prison, suspended to one year, and ordered to pay a fine of $10,100. She was also given five years probation.

Reames was driving on Whaley Street back in May 2011 when she ran a red light at the intersection of Assembly Street. The then-20-year-old Reames then hit 71-year-old Billy Dean Randall's car.

Randall died at the scene. He was the founding pastor of Gethsemane Baptist Church in Lexington.
