CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Cleveland Police executed a search warrant Friday around 10 a.m. in the 5700 block of Harvard that busted a large marijuana growing operation.

The operation handled the whole process from growing seedlings to packaging the marijuana for wholesale. The equipment was high end and included motorized track lighting that moved from side to side continuously delivering the light needed for quickened growth.

Over 800 marijuana plants were confiscated and a second search warrant was obtained and executed in the City of Broadview Heights, where Steven Schiff was arrested and several pounds of marijuana and $15,000.00 was seized along with a .45 pistol.

As the result of the execution of the above two search warrants information was developed and several high powered weapons were seized on Cleveland's eastside by Narcotics Detectives.

The initial search warrant was obtained by information provided to the Narcotics Unit by a Cleveland Division of Police Motorcycle Unit Officer.

Steven Schiff has been charged with felony cultivating marijuana.
