Welcome to the 2013 Cleveland Auto Show where you'll find hundreds of beautiful cars, trucks, SUV's -- and you'll also see examples of the keys to Northeast Ohio's Economic Recovery.
"Behind us we have the 2013 Ford S650. We're pretty excited because in later 2014 the Avon Lake Assembly plant will be producing this product here bringing more jobs here," said Brian O'Donnell, President of the Valley Automotive Group.
Car companies seem to gravitate to the Cleveland workforce.
"I think great talent, great workforce - very bright group of folks that have the, 'we can get it done,' type of attitude that you don't necessarily see in the workforce," added O'Donnell.
There's signs of recovery everywhere - including Luxury Car Dealerships.
"We see more businessmen and women coming into the dealership stepping up having more of the exotic luxury cars," says Mark Thomas, general manager of Collection Motorsports.
Another good indicator of the rust belt's road to recovery: the car show itself seems to be swamped with people who don't just seem to be looking.
"The difference here is the people are here looking to buy. They are looking at the vehicles - I think they are looking at them with the intention of saying how do I put myself in this vehicle," said O'Donnell.
Job prospects - a driving force that makes everyone feel better about spending money.
Visitors to this year's Cleveland Auto Show will find more exhibit space, more vehicles, more Ride-N-Drive events, and a renewed sense of optimism in the industry from auto manufacturers and dealers alike.More >>
