Parma Police officers attempted to stop a car that sped past them at the intersection of State and Brookpark Roads just before midnight, but the driver refused to stop.
The chase ended in Cleveland near Broadview and Spring Roads with the suspect crashing.
Police say the man then jumped out of his car and hid under another car. Officers used a Police dog to located him.
The male, a 23-year-old from Cleveland was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center to be checked out. No officers were injured in the chase.
After searching the car, officers located a bag of jewelry inside. They're trying to find out if there is anything to the discovery.
