SUMMIT COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -

The final phase of jury selection ended late Monday morning in the Akron courtroom where Richard Beasley will face trial for aggravated murder.

Jury selection took most of last week and the morning today in the Craigslist murder trial of Richard Beasley.  After lunch the prosecution and defense finally got their chance to lay out their cases.

A dozen jurors were sworn in along with half a dozen alternates.  They will hear testimony in a trial that is expected to last 6 weeks.

Beasley and his teen accomplice, Brogan Rafferty, allegedly lured men to a remote farm in Noble County through a Craigslist ad that promised work.

Three men were killed, a fourth man was shot, but survived.

Prosecutors have a simple point, Richard Beasley was the mastermind of the plot that lured 4 men to Southern Ohio where they were ambushed and shot.

Beasely came into court far more well groomed than in past appearances.  He was in a wheelchair with his hair combed, beard trimmed, wearing a suit and carrying a cane.

Two key witnesses against Beasley are Rafferty and Scott Davis. Davis was the fourth man shot, but survived the attack.

In November, Rafferty was convicted of murder and attempted murder. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole.

During his trial, Rafferty testified that he feared for his life if he didn't do what Beasley told him to do.

Beasley faces the death penalty.
