Victim Id'd: Man accused of killing sister's boyfriend on city's west side

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Police are investigating a homicide on Cleveland's west side.

It happened around 3 a.m. Tuesday in the 2200 block of West 101st near Western Avenue.

The preliminary investigation reveals that the victim, identified as 30-year-old Brandon Walker, and his girlfriend were involved in a physical altercation, and the during the altercation, the girlfriend's brother intervened.

The brother placed Walker in a choke hold and when the police arrived, Walker was found unresponsive and pronounced dead on the scene by EMS.

The brother was placed under arrest.

The girlfriend was conveyed to Fairview Hospital for treatment. No word on her condition at this time.
