FORT KNOX, KY (Toledo News Now) -

A Whitehouse woman who was a member or the 180th Fighter Wing based in Swanton and her husband were found at their home at the Fort Knox Army Post in Kentucky on Friday.

The 180th Fighter Wing says both Staff Sgt. Kristia Meeks-Jones and her husband Christopher suffered gunshot wounds after a 911 call early Friday morning. According to the United States Army Criminal Investigation Command, the incident appears to have resulted from a domestic dispute.

The couple's two children were in the residence at the time of the incident, but were unharmed. The children are now in foster care.

Sgt. Meeks-Jones has been assigned to the 180th Fighter Wing's Communications Flight as a knowledge operations journeyman since July, 2007.

Family and friends may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until a service at 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Online condolences may be made at walkerfuneralhomes.com.
