TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A trial date has been set for a Toledo man whom police say led them on a chase, rammed a police car, and shot at them.

Earlier this month, troopers tried to pull over Bryon Hageman, 43, for reckless driving. They say he refused to stop leading them on a pursuit, during which they say he rammed into a cruiser and shots were fired. After taking off again, he was eventually found in a parking lot.

Hageman pleaded not guilty Wednesday.

He will go to trial March 18. If found guilty, he could face up to eight years in prison.

Hageman still remains behind bars on a $50,000 bond.
