Teen's condition is serious, stabbed near Lincoln-West High School

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

A Cleveland teen is recovering after being stabbed on the city's west side.

It happened Thursday evening around 7 P.M.  

Police say Jan Perez was involved in a argument with another black man while playing basketball at open gym at Lincoln-West High School.

As they were leaving they began to argue again at W. 30th and Meyer.

During the argument the suspect produced a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times.

After the stabbing, the suspect fled the scene. 

The 19-year old is listed in serious condition at Metro.

So far no one has been arrested. Police are searching for the suspect.

The Cleveland Division of Police is asking that anyone with information in c/w this incident to contact the Second District Detective Bureau at 216.623.5218.
