CLEVELAND, OH -

A 19 Action News investigation is raising new questions in the fallout from a deadly Cleveland police chase--the one last fall with police firing 137 shots and killing two people.

New documents show the chief ordered police pursuit training after the big chase. We'd been led to believe it had already been planned.

We revealed earlier, all Cleveland officers will go through pursuit training in 2013.

Now records show a police training committee met in early November to go over plans for 2013, and the chief signed off on it.

No mention of chase training.

A cross-town chase turned deadly with dozens of officers involved at the end of November.

Then weeks later, in mid-December, the chief wrote on a memo, "please include pursuit training."

those documents have just been released.

But back in January, the chief only talked about following the recommendations of his training committee.

He told us at the time, "I meet with them again in October to kind of finalize it. That's what we did." We followed with another question, "So this was planned weeks ago?" he answered, "Yes."

The chase is still under investigation.

This year, Cleveland officers will also be training on various kinds of use of force, ethics, and cultural diversity.
