Bloomington, IN (WOIO) - The Buckeyes have had their ups and downs this season, but they made a strong statement on Tuesday night, upsetting the # 2 Indiana Hoosiers, 67-58 at Assembly Hall.
Deshaun Thomas led the way for Ohio State with 18 points and 8 rebounds, but it was the Buckeyes defense that made the difference, holding the Hoosiers to 58 points, well below their average of 82 per game. As a team, Indiana shot only 39% from the field, with Cody Zeller throwing down a team-high 17.
The Buckeyes (22-7, 12-5) will host Illinois on Sunday.
