CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Well, the news concerning the Juvenile Justice Center in Cleveland just keeps getting worse.

The latest bombshell -- the county plans to plow yet another million in tax dollars into the "Taj Mahal" at E.93 and Quincy.

Seems they need to convert some empty office space for public defenders, the same group that refused to move into the building when it first opened two years ago.

Hate to say we told you so, but we had a hunch from the start that this project would turn into a money pit.

19 Action News was first to uncover the wasteful spending on the project, like an $8,000 couch, pricey exercise machines, dozens of flat screen TV's---and yes, the infamous $23,000  conference table.

Well, the entire project is a giant embarrassing disaster authorized by our careless elected officials and paid for by "we" the taxpayers.

Write and let me know what you think. I'm Bill Applegate.
