AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

They went online looking for jobs and ended up dead.

Wednesday for the first time we hear from the man police call the mastermind behind the Craigslist Killings

Richard Beasley took the stand in his own defense.

The 53 year old accused Craigslist Killer says he is a victim and not a cold blooded killer. Beasley is accused of using ads on Craigslist to lure people to a remote farm with help from Brogan Rafferty.

At the farm prosecutors say the two shot and killed Ralph Geiger, Tim Kern and David Pauley and wounded Scott Davis.

Beasley told the jury Scott Davis attacked him.

"How did Scott Davis get shot," asked prosecutors.

"It was his gun and we were struggling with it," answered Beasley.

"And he still had the gun," asked prosecutors.

"I have no idea what he did with the gun," said Beasley.

"Isn't true Mr. Beasley that you lured Ralph Geiger down there to Noble County? Stuck a gun to the back of his head, and pulled the trigger and shot him in the back of the head," asked prosecutors.

"You are a liar. I did not do that. You didn't see it and nobody testified to that in Court. It did not happen," yelled Beasley.

Beasley's Defense Team rested their case Wednesday and closing arguments will come Thursday.

Beasley is charged with three counts of aggravated murder. If convicted Beasley will face a possible death sentence.

Brogan Rafferty who is now 17, has already been convicted in the murders and serving a life sentence.
