Elderly woman's wheelchair stolen at Cleveland WalMart

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

The Cleveland Division of Police is asking for the public's help in solving a theft at the Steelyard Commons Wal-Mart on Wednesday.

A 75-year-old woman was shopping at Wal-Mart in her Hoveround wheelchair. She parked her wheelchair at the security desk and switched to a Wal-Mart electric wheelchair because it was equipped with a shopping basket. Upon her return to the security area, her Hoveround wheelchair was missing.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the elderly woman's stolen wheelchair is asked to call the Second District Detective Bureau at 216-623-5218.

Anonymous information can be given to Crime Stoppers by calling 216-252-7463 or Text messaging to Text TIP657 plus your message to Crimes (274637).
