Jason Kipnis hit his first home run of the spring as the Indians beat the Cubs 9-2 in Mesa, Arizona. Michael Bourn had a base hit and also drove in a run for the Tribe. Cedric Hunter clubbed a three run homer.
Zach McAllister threw four shut out innings for Cleveland, allowing three hits and striking out three. David Huff started and tossed three innings allowing two runs.
The Indians improved to 11-5 on the spring with the win.
