CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

The verdict was a guilty one, in the murder trial Richard Beasley. A day after getting the case, Beasley was convicted of luring men to a remote farm in Noble County through a Craigslist ad that promised work and murdering them.

"Count one indictment for aggravated murder this is regarding Ralph Gieger, with prior calculation and design, guilty beyond a reasonable doubt," said Judge Lynn Callahan.

It only took the jury about a day to deliberate.

Beasley listened to the verdict and hung his head from his wheelchair for most of the reading.

He was found guilty on all the major counts including three counts of aggravated murder for the deaths of Ralph Geiger, Timothy Kern and David Pauley. All of who answered Craigslists ads for jobs only to be shot and put in shallow graves in Noble County.

After the verdict Bealsey's own mother was visibly shaken.

"Right at this moment I'm in great deal of pain," said Carol Beasley.

"Do you think your son is innocent," asked reporter Dan Deroos.

"Honestly I do. I've never seen him do a violent thing in his life," answered Mrs. Beasley.

The only man who survived the set up was Scott Davis. He was shot but managed to get away and he was in the courtroom for the verdict.

"Justice has been served-- that's all I have to say right now," said Scott Davis.

The jurors though aren't finished. They will come back next Wednesday and start the punishment phase.

They'll have to decide whether to recommend death or life in prison.

Beasley's teen accomplice, Brogan Rafferty has already been convicted of murder and attempted murder, and was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
