Youngstown man killed in Portage County crash

RAVENNA TOWNSHIP, OH (WOIO) -

A 52-year-old Youngstown man was killed in a Portage County car accident.

It happened on State Route 14 just southeast of State Route 5 in Ravenna Township around 6:41 a.m. Wednesday.

Troopers say Lawrence Santangelo was driving on State Route 14 when an SUV slid left of center and crashed into him. The SUV then rolled on its side.

Santangelo was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The driver of the SUV, 21-year-old Anthony Rodriguez II, has been treated and released from the hospital.
