CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Judgment day for the suspects involved in a bar brawl that blinded a woman in one eye.

Marco and Fred Correa were sentenced to 12 years in prison. Leah Dennison and Melissa Cintron were sentenced to six months home detention and James Gimenez was sentenced to six months in jail.

On July 22, Fred Correa, 24, his brother Marco, 27, Dennison, 22, Cintron, 22, and Gimenez, 29, involved in the brutal attack of the 44-year-old female bar owner at Charlie's Place in Cleveland.

The defendants were asked to leave the bar at closing time. The group refused and the female victim began to escort the group to the back door when Mario Correa slapped her and struck her with his fist.

An off-duty police officer witnessed the attack. After trying to assist, he was also struck. Both victims ended up on the ground where they were repeatedly stomped and kicked. After calling 911, a third and fourth victim went to help and were knocked unconscious and kicked while on the ground.

When police arrived, the defendants fled.

The female victim was transported to the hospital where she underwent surgery to remove her eye.

The three male victims each suffered multiple facial fractures and two required surgery.
