Picric acid scare at Akron company

AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

The bomb squad was called to Meggitt Braking Systems around 8 a.m. Friday morning after an employee found two bottles of Picric Acid.

According to the Summit County Sheriff, the acid had started to crystallize on top of the bottle.

The Summit County Sheriff's Office bomb squad was dispatched to the company, and bomb squad personnel are in the process of rendering the bottles of acid safe at the scene.
