WILLOUGHBY, OH (WOIO) -

Breckenridge Village Retirement Community held a special event Friday for the daughter of a Willoughby Police Officer killed in the line of duty.

Olivia Gresko, 3, is the daughter of Police Officer Jason Gresko. Officer Gresko was struck and killed by a drunk driver on September 21, 2012.

Breckenridge Village set up a scholarship for Olivia, at the Clapp Children's Center, on the campus of Breckenridge Village.

David Schell, executive director of Breckenridge Village, had been sporting a beard since January and asked residents to decide whether his beard should stay or go! Residents paid money to vote. All proceeds go towards the scholarship for Olivia Gresko.

After counting the votes, Schell had to shave his beard!
