Train hits car in Olmsted Falls

OLMSTED FALLS, OH (WOIO) -

Olmsted Falls Police say a train hit a car at the Columbia Road crossing overnight.  The accident happened around 4:15 a.m.

A witness tells 19 Action News that the driver of the car was able to get out of the truck before it was struck by the train.

Police say the car was pushed west of the Columbia Road crossing towards the Brookside crossing.

The accident was cleaned up around 8 a.m. and the roads have been reopened.
