Posted: Updated:
STEUBENVILLE, OH (WOIO) -

Less than one week after the trial began, closing arguments were reportedly underway in the Steubenville rape trial on Saturday, March 16, 2013.

The teen girl who says she was raped by two high school football players took the stand today to testify in their trial.

The defendants, Ma'lik Richmond, 16 and Trent Mays, 17 are accused of assaulting the girl after an alcohol-fueled party in August 2012.

The question during the trial was the victim's level of intoxication and whether or not she was able to consent to the sexual acts.

The judge is set to hand down a verdict at 10:00 am on Sunday, March 17, 2013.

The high-profile rape trial in Steubenville began on Wednesday, but the protests have been on-going.
