CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

A Maple Heights mom accused in a drunk driving crash that left her one-year-old son paralyzed from the neck down, faced a judge Monday.

Antonia Earley, 29, pled not guilty to several charges; including, aggravated vehicular assault, endangering children and driving while under the influence. The Judge set bond at $25,000.

The accident happened on Jan. 3, 2013 in the area of East 82nd Street and Broad Avenue in Cleveland.

Cleveland Police say Earley lost control and hit a utility pole.

Earley had her one-year-old son seated in the front passenger seat of the vehicle. The child was not seated in a car seat and was restrained only by the seat belt.

Police and EMS arrived on scene and found the victim unconscious on the front seat. The victim suffered multiple fractures to both femurs, head and brain trauma, as well as vertebrae fractures, leaving him paralyzed from the neck down.

Police also located an unloaded handgun in Earley's vehicle.

Earley will be back in court on March 25.
