
Indians decide not to keep Dice K on major league roster, make other movesThe Indians told Daisuke Matsuzaka he won't be on the Opening Day roster, but they will keep him in the organization.
The team offered him a retention bonus of $100,000 to accept a trip to Triple-A Columbus Clippers. Matsuzaka did, and will head down to the minors.
The team did the same with reliever Matt Capps on Monday as well.
In other roster news, the team optioned infielder Juan Diaz to Columbus.
They also re-assigned non-roster invitees pitcher Preston Guilmet, outfielder Cedric Hunter and pitchers Matt Langwell and Joe Martinez to Minor League camp.
