Geno Smith will at least get a once-over by the Browns before next month's draft. It is not known when the workout will be.
The Browns hold the 6th pick in the first round and will be in a position to draft the West Virginia quarterback, but it sounds like their interest is only casual. The team is doing it's due diligence and looking at all prospects available. The team has said it wants to create competition for Brandon Weeden. Drafting Smith would do that, but it's unlikely that any team would ever use first round picks on quarterbacks in back to back years.
