
Keith Dambrot one of five finalists for Red Auerbach Coach of the Year AwardUniversity of Akron men's basketball head coach Keith Dambrot is one of five finalists for the 2013 Red Auerbach College Coach of the Year Award.
The award is given annually to the nation's top Jewish college coach, as voted by the members of the Jewish Coaches Association (JCA). The winner will be presented with the award at this year's Final Four in Atlanta, Ga.
In his ninth year at UA, Dambrot guided the Zips to a 26-6 record, the MAC regular season and tournament championship and a No. 12 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Dambrot's team enjoyed a 19-game winning streak that spanned from mid-December to late February.
